Many new
users tend to shut down their computer in the exact same way they would
turn-off their TV or stereo. If you belong to this user category,
it is worthwhile to read the instructions below..
In order
to shut-down your computer properly, you will under NO CIRCUMSTANCES hit
the OFF switch or unplug the power cord!

The first thing
you have to do is to close ALL programs (windows) that are still
open

Next, click the
button

and click the first
menu option: Shut down
A dialogue box will appear... Make
sure that the Shut down option is selected and not something else
such as Stand by or Restart.
In the event that another option is
selected...
-
click on the drop-down list arrow button
and select
Shut down
When you are done...
and your computer will shut-down.
This may take a few seconds...
Now you know
how to properly shut-down your computer!
