In our previous tutorial we showed
you how to install a program. What happens if you want to remove
a program? For the answer to this, read on...
-
Click on the
button
-
highlight Settings,
then highlight and click on Control Panel
-
Double click Add/Remove Programs
...and the Add/Remove Programs
Properties
window will come up.

-
Click the Install/Uninstall tab
... and you'll see a listing of your
programs. Find the program you want to remove
-
click on it and then click on the Add/Remove...
button
A dialogue box will appear asking
a question such as "Are you sure you want to remove/uninstall the program
and all its components?"
and the uninstallation process
will begin! If, however, you change your mind and want to keep the program,
click the
Cancel button. The removal process will take a few
seconds and once it's complete, another dialogue box will appear.
and you're done!
note: Frequently, when you
remove a program with this method, some of the program's elements may remain
on your computer. For instance, the program icon may remain on your
desktop
surface and on your Programs menu. This does not mean
that you failed to remove it. It simply means that there are some
left-overs. In our tutorial Removing program
"leftovers" we'll be showing you how to clear everything!
Now you know
how to remove programs using the Add/Remove Programs feature from Control
Panel!
